Amaterasu or Xin’s World as it is more commonly known is one of the more unique worlds known to the confederation and yet it is not a member of it but rather an independent world. The world was originally millennia ago the world had been one of the central Warrior crèche worlds, it’s tidal locked orbit made it perfect for a multitude of purposes including trials and as such the primary Genetic station was typically in orbit of it. When the body of the unity chose to enter stasis a small group was left on the planet as well entering stasis where they would remain until the year 3123AD when a colony ship misjumped into the system and heavily damaged crashed onto the world. The vessel was primarily made up of members of the Asian Coalition from earth and with their ship incapable of returning to space but with their primary colony modules still intact they set about making themselves a new life on the planet.
Based on the records given by both the Unity and the Imperial Dynasty approximately 219 years after colonisation the colonists found what at the time they believed to be a mineral vein however upon investigation they discovered it was actually a vault containing 51930 Warriors within stasis. Shortly after this discovery however a plague ripped through both populations, devastating the human colonists and the warrior population by the time the plague was brought under control over 85% of both population bases on the planet had been devastated and in an effort to survive intermingling began to occur.
Perhaps though the most important factor of the plague was that it also devastated the technical ability of the planets population, at the time of the plague the colony had reached a point where they had once again attained space flight only to have most if not all of those with the skills and knowledge of such ability and many other abilities die. This resulted in the society that formed afterwards being a strange mix of high and low technology with a feudal system coming into existence.
The sun locked area of the planet formed into what would become the Empire of Light, while the twilight regions those areas where storms raged but certain resources unobtainable in the sunlit lands formed into a set of splintered nations almost constantly at war both with themselves and the stronger and healthier Empire. Records show that the ‘An dynasty line was formed during this time, originally a small nation amongst others within the sunlit lands the ‘An dynasty used force of arms, diplomacy and trade to form the Empire with the first Empress Liu’An approximately 3541AD in an effort to bring an end to the raiding from the twilight lands.
Within the Twilight lands four ‘houses’ emerged over the period each controlling roughly 1/4th of the total twilight region, these four houses comprised of the Cho, Woo, Yang and Li Dynasties. For a period of almost a thousand years the Five dynasties fought both open and shadow wars with each other each generally the resulting wars resulted in stalemates, short treaties followed by backstabbing and open war again. It was not until the birth of the Li twins, Kitsuna and Ju that this would change. Ju was promised at birth to be wed with the heir designate of the Cho family while there is no record of who or if Kitsuna was promised. We know however that Kitsuna choose to first kill his father, murdered Ju’s wife and child than forcing his brother to abductee his position as the head of the family waged a bloody but efficient war that soon brought the Li dynasty into full control of the Twilight lands. Within 4 years he reworked his forces and over the course of 2 T-years marched his army into the Empire of light using Canon and other ‘technologies’ gleamed from his brothers writings and study he finally reached the Palace of Eternal light and stormed it, forcing the Empress Xin’An to surrender and then brutally raped her in front of the noble houses of the Empire as proof of his conquest.
It is however perhaps ironic that Kitsuna’s own brother would be the one who ultimately brought downfall to his reign, Ju’Li grew close to the now fallen Empress going as far as to aid her in keeping herself from becoming pregnant to his brother. With access to the sun lit lands, Ju’Li discovered the ancient cache system of the Unity and his innate talents to understand machinery led him to eventually work out how to get a jump capable shuttle functional. Together with his twins forced bride he escaped triggering the automatic recall protocol on the shuttle and as history records awakening the G station. The rest of the core of Amaterasu’s history is recorded within the Unity and Confederate entries, however it should be noted that Xin’An did use her and Ju’Li’s new found allies to retake her throne and ultimately it is believed kill Kitsuna.
